Mathematical Model
The resulting Three-Dimensional equation is represented by a Gausian Surface, which is created by passing a line through space in a twisting manner. In enzyme kinetics, the degree of twisting indicates the nature of the enzyme inhibition.
This thesis showed that, in enzyme reactions involving a Substrate (S), Inhibitor (I) and associated Velocity (V); the reaction constants could be determined in just one step; using unordered (S,I,V) triplets. Previous methods allowed for reaction constants to be determined only through a two-step process; using (S,V) couplets and then (I,V) couplets.
